What is Portfolio?


A portfolio is a collection of your work that shows your progress and creativity over time. In Wordela, portfolio items are pieces of writing you create using your vocabulary words such as stories, poems, or personal reflections.

Your portfolio helps you practice using new words in context while keeping all your work organized in one place, so you can revisit and improve it anytime.


Create a Portfolio Item.

  1. Complete Learn Vocab to 100%.

  2. Click the 3-dot menu beside the Learn Vocab button.

  3. Select Create Portfolio Item.

  4. Choose the type of item you want to create:

    • Write a short story

    • Write a poem

    • Describe my day

    • Free writing

  5. Follow the instructions shown on screen.

  6. Use the word chips to guide your writing:

    • Chips start in black and turn green once used in your text.

    • Click a chip to view its definition or lesson.

  7. Enter your text in the provided field.

  8. Click Save to store your work.

    Note: If you click Back before saving, you’ll be asked to confirm before exiting.



View Portfolio Items

  1. Click the 3-dot menu beside the Learn Vocab button.

  2. Select Show Portfolio Items (available once you have created items).

  3. Browse your items in the list:

    • Each item is organized as: [Date] - [Portfolio Name]

    • Portfolio names follow this format: [Item Name] - [Word List Name]

    • Click an item to open and view or edit it.



Edit or Delete a Portfolio Item

  1. Open an item from the Portfolio Items list.

  2. Update the title or content as needed.

  3. Click Save to apply changes.

  4. To delete an item:

    • Click the 3-dot menu inside the editor

    • Select Delete



Access Portfolio Items from Your Profile

  1. Go to the Profile tab.

  2. View all your portfolio items in the table.

  3. Click the Name to view or edit it.

  4. Click the 3 dots to delete a portfolio.

  5. Use the “How to create items” link for guidance.
