How can I choose the definition displayed or create my own definition?

You can change or create your own definition for custom word lists. These are word lists that you've manually added and created yourself. 

1. Head over to your Class, and click on the Word Work tab. Next, hover your mouse over the custom word list, and click on View/Edit:



2. Once you're in the word list, you can click on the 3 dots Word List Menu, and select Edit Word List.



3. Select the word that you would like to customize. You can hover your mouse over the (?) icon to read the description for Teach and Display. 

Teach: Select the definition that Wordela will display in activities and tests

Display: Select which definitions will be available in Wordela. Unchecked definitions will be hidden.



4. To add your own custom definition, click on the pencil icon:



5.  Select a Part of Speechwrite or copy-paste the definition, and click on Save.



6. Next, select the custom definition you want to Teach and Display. You can always change this by clicking on the pencil icon again or delete it by clicking on the trash bin icon.



7. You're all set! It will now display the custom definition in Autolearn (Learn) and in Dictionary:
